ok I have another server that is doing the exact same thing. I tailed the error log and got this:

Code: Select all

[Thu Mar 07 13:37:49 2013] [error] [client 172.26.68.196] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: enabled in /usr/local/nagiosxi/html/includes/components/actions/actions.inc.php on line 363, referer: http://drwatson/nagiosxi/admin/components.php?config=actions

Is this with the new component I sent you?

yes.
i dont want to make this more complicated by posting results from 2 different servers.
The original server I started this post for does not give me any errors for the actions component. I just get:

Code: Select all

[Thu Mar 07 15:16:01 2013] [error] [client 172.22.27.159] PHP Warning: array_key_exists() expects parameter 2 to be array, null given in /usr/local/nagiosxi/html/includes/dbauth.inc.php on line 372, referer: http://172.22.2.123/nagiosxi/includes/components/opscreen/opscreen.php
,which I know has nothing to do with this issue.

I dont know if it makes a difference but this issue began last Sunday night. Also, I even tried the "Actions URL" component which doesn't seem to work either, if i put a link in the actions or notes url fields, the links just point back to it's host.

We may be confused on this. What is the current issue with the component? Is it that settings are not being saved? (hostgroup/action text/code/etc?)

When you selected a hostgroup in the Actions component and clicked "apply settings", it looked like it cleared out the hostgroup dropdown setting. In my tests, this did not happen. Was your interface just slow, or does the hostgroup dropdown clear out on apply?

I too am having problems with using the action-url component with hostgroups. It works fine on individual hosts though. Could you test it on an individual host on your end?

no bro it's not slow, (bustin the funky rhymes)
That's what happens. I' clears out on apply.
I'll try the individual hosts for the actions url, component.

What browser are you using? Could you try a different one just for the heck of it? (if you try IE, make sure it is in compatibility mode)
