Okay, well as stated it is not a valid troubleshooting exercise... We need to see this behavior on a external Firefox/IE/Chrome browser as none of us have been able to reproduce this, the browser you are using in your screenshots is not wrapped in a Windows/Mac frame. Once you access the pages which show this throbber constantly from a browser noted previously, run the following and show the output. Please also attach a screen shot of this in that browser.

I am setting up a minimal install test env to replicate this issue.
Anyway here are the logs

Nothing is really jumping out in your logs. I'd like to wait until the test environment is in place before we continue further. Just to confirm, it is going to be a RHEL 5/6 minimal server? That is, in the following guide it would be the "Basic Server" option:

I thought you guys wanted minimal? We selected minimal instead of Basic Server.

Fresh install of RHEL 6.5 Basic Server with XI 2014R1.2
No changes was made in NagiosXI except change the theme to Classic.
Same problem
However change the theme back to Nagios 2014.
No more hourglass.
Tried in production same behaviour.
So the issue is with your Classic Theme.

I'm not sure what I was thinking when I said "Basic Server" but looking at the packages I don't believe it should matter:

So on the previous GUI server is it exhibiting the same behavior where the 2014 theme works but the 2012 does not? Or can you not upgrade that server to 2014 yet?

The problem is I dont like the 2014 theme. It is already upgraded to 2014 btw.
Anyway we should sort of the root cause of the problem.

We are trying to sort out the root of the problem. If we know it works in 2014 but not in 2012 we can start looking for changes in the code between those two themes. The problem is that we cannot reproduce this in-house so we need to find all the things that are different regarding our servers and yours. Are you sure you do not make any changes to the server? No company policy regarding security, no proxy settings that might be caching that image for some reason, anything like that? This is truly a case of "Install the OS, install the software, see the problem" at this point?

Wish the 2014 theme was more vibrant with a much smaller status bar.
Anyway those sticking with 2012 might not be pleased if they encounter this issue.
