I think I'm ok for now on the install issue.
My next task is to install Nagios QL for managing hosts files and install postfix to get e-mail monitoring going

Sounds good. I'll go ahead and mark this as resolved then.
We cannot provide support for Nagios QL, but as for postfix you shouldn't see too many issues. Feel free to open a new thread if you need assistance with it.
