So that looks like it may have fixed it, which leads me to a question. Why were active checks not disabled when I disabled them in CCM? The first thing I did was go into each service in CCM and set "Active checks enabled" to OFF. Why did that not disable the active checks? I'm also confused as to how this suddenly stopped working because I didn't make any changes to these services to cause them to stop functioning, but I'm not going to ask you guys to answer an un-answerable question.

I am glad that it is working for you now.
A couple of causes for the entries not being correct is that the MYSQL database became corrupted or that there were 2 Nagios processes running at the same time and the one over wrote the other negating the settings.
I did see from your profile that the server was rebooted on December 6th, do you know why that was done?

Yeah I had to reboot the box because we had a goofy issue where no one, myself included, could write changes to Nagios. So we couldn't schedule downtime, make comments, acknowledge, any of that. Also, all of the checks were like 20 minutes behind so I just bounced the box to correct the issue.

I bet that is when the configs didn't get saved and they became out of sync.
