can you tell me how to setup the cisco mibs to monitor a catalyst 3750 and 47 series core switches ?

This is going to depend on what you want to monitor on them. Most of the common MIB's are preloaded in XI and you can can monitor the OID's using the SNMP wizard.
If you want to monitor bandwidth on the switch ports you can run the Network Switch/Router wizard.

it were fine to receive snmp traps from the switches.
