The probem i have appears to be caused by the new R1.2 VM image.

If install the fresh R1.2 VM image - no performance graphs. However if i use 1.1H image and then upgrade to 1.2R the performance graphs are fine.

Is there a "how-to" guide somewhere about setting up performance graphs for custom scripts? Several of my hosts still don't show up and I don't understand why.

Reset the security credentials fixed this.

When we duplicated this, we discovered that by "no performance graphs" there was pages that should have contained images of the graphs. The images don't load and don't fail to load, the result is the white background shows through and the controls are placed such as to indicate that the size of the image is smaller.

Bandwidth graphs

Hello,
I have notice a problem while monitoring a bandwidth of a switch ports. Status information shows that the: "current BW in: .89Mbps Out: 4.52Mbps", however when a check the performance graph of that port I can see totally different values: last in 896mb, last out 3969 mb. Moreover the graph doesn't represent neither the first values nor the second. What is the reason of this?? How this situation can be changed??

This is because the graphs will only work with signed integers. We had discussed this and currently we set GB interfaces to Mb and 100MB interfaces to Kb, however graphing will be much more accurate if the units were is bits/s(8 bits to a byte so every data point graphed would be a multiple of 8.)

This would be much more suited to the way rrd(the graphing back-end) works.

I have created 3 users in nagios xi, and have 10 devices that nagios is monitoring. When I click on performance graphs > All Graphs it shows a list of all the devices but does not display the graphs. Please help........

I've just noticed that I'm in a similar situation.
I upgraded from Nagios XI 2009 R1.1 to R1.2 and noticed that I am no longer able to see any graphs for any of my services :(
The actual graphs are replaced with broken picture icons in Chrome & IE and just aren't shown in FireFox.

I've tried resetting the security details however this hasn't helped.

Any more suggestions?

Thanks,
CP

No performance graph

Hi All,

i have a brand new installation of nagios xi version 2009R1.2.
Trial licence, downloaded vmplayer image converted to esx machine. I can say that everything is ok instead of no performance graphs.

I have only default localhost and default localhost services monitored. If I click on show all performance graphs, i can see that graph dashlet for localhost is created with title, and also with icons, that should be around the graph. Just graph itself is not there.

I can see that there are .rrd and .xml file for localhost services in /usr/local/nagios/share/perdata/localhost. Performance data processing is turned on by default.

Please can you help me somehow? Maybe I did something wrong, but as far as I know, i did everything as it was described in videotutorial.

Thanks in advance
Tomas
