I'm currently monitoring switchport discards (in & out) and need to be able to have a graph for both in & out discards?

I've configured two seperate services for each port (InDiscards & OutDiscards); is there a way to merge their performance graphs so I can see both In and Out on one graph?

What plugin, or method are you using to monitor these two services?

I'm using an SNMP check on the OID's.

Could you give us an example of each these 2 checks? You should be able to check more than one oid with check_snmp. By merging both oids into the same check, you should get both metrics in the perfdata string. They will not be additive though, instead you will have 2 metrics on the same graph.

Using the check_xi_service_snmp command here is the command I am running:

$USER1$/check_snmp -H $HOSTADDRESS$ $ARG1$
where ARG1 is:
-p 61010 -o .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.13.1 -C password -P 2c -m IF-MIB

The above is for the inbound discards.

The outbound discards for this same port is:

-p 61010 -o .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.19.1 -C password -P 2c -m IF-MIB

So should I do something like this?

-p 61010 -o .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.13.1 -o .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.19.1 -C password -P 2c -m IF-MIB

I got it figured it, the below worked.

-p 61010 -o .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.13.1,.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.19.1 -C password -P 2c -m IF-MIB

Okay, there is still two performance graphs under this service, one for each OID....

What does the performance data look like for the new check?
(goto --> service detail --> click the service --> advanced tab --> Performance data field in the left hand table)

This is what it says:

IF-MIB::ifInDiscards.1=0c
IF-MIB::ifOutDiscards.1=0c

This looks correct, are you saying that there is no performance graph, or there is a graph but it is blank? because if your values are 0 as they are, it could just be blank
