Sending mobile text notification does not work

Test Mobile Text notification is not received on the mobile even though Send Test Notification displays that it is sent.
I have set the mobile number to 510-xxx-7824, and set the Mobile Text checkbox in Notification Method.
(I have replaced the middle three digits to xxx to protect my privacy)
However, test Mobile Text notification never sent out.
If I send an email to
[email protected], then the mobile receives the text sent via email.
So, I verified that there is no problem receiving the text.
Could you check if Mobile Text notification works with Verizon %number%@vtext.com?
Thanks.

Remove the dashes from the number.
Edit - Nevermind, I see in the image you don't really have the dashes

Go to Admin->System Config->Manage Mobile Carriers, and post a screenshot of this page. Also, are you sure that your SMS was not blocked by Verizon? Do you have any filtering in place?

Thanks for the prompt response.
Yes, I am sure that the receiving text is not blocked by Verizon for the phone.
I made sure that I was able to send a text to the same phone using Gmail.
I sent an email to
[email protected], and the same email was received as a mobile text message on that phone.
Attached is the screenshot of the Mobile Carriers.

Are you using the same email gateway\relay for your traditional email as well as email to sms? Also are you certain that your relay\gateway will forward emails that are not designated for the domain it responds to? Often the case is that it will not relay or forward messages to prevent spam issues. The test command in nagios simply means that it attempted to send a message, not that it has verified anything beyond that. Other providers such as gmail are also fine to send, as your gmail account is sending out to another address, which is perfectly normal. If you tried to relay off them it would be shutdown right away.

What I know is that email delivery works for the test notification.
I tried using my work email address, my yahoo email address, and my gmail address.
All worked fine.
I was expecting that mobile text notification would work the similar way.
Do you know any relay/gateway which will relay mobile text notification that I can use?
If yes, how can I use it?

Have you set the hostname on the machine? It is possible you are getting caught by Verizon spam filter because of this

Host name has been set.
Yes, it seems like that Verizon has a tough spam filter.
My co-worker is telling me that he received a mobile text from NagiosXI on his mobile phone, which has mobile subscription through Rogers in Canada.
So, %number%@pcs.rogers.com is working alright.

good to know. Let us know if this is resolved once you get an FQDN.
