Change subject of e-mail-to-text notifications?

We're unable to use the native e-mail-to-text notifications tool as we're a UK-based company and none of the carriers here offer that functionality (i.e. the ability to send an e-mail to '%number%@txt.att.net').
We currently use a 3rd Party gateway, and have users configured on Nagios to send out text notifications. We do this because the gateway we use require the use of a password in the subject (the texts are chargeable, and this prevents abuse). This works fine, but it would simplify administration if we could use the native functionality and not have to create separate users for SMS notifications.
It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on this!
Thanks,
Gavin
