Hi,
I'm running NagiosXI 2012R1.8
Browser is latest Firefox
I've created a dashboard with a number of graphs and a few URL dashlets (specifically Service Status and State History pages). I've then done a "Schedule Page" and filled out all the information.
When I go to the Scheduled Reports page, I see the job I created and all is good.
When I click 'View' I get the dashboard I created and it's good.
When I click 'Send Now', the httpd/error_log shows that it gets done and sure enough, I get an email. BUT, all the Service Status and State History pages say "Your session has timed out"
If I leave the report page and return and try to 'Send Now' again, the httpd log shows it happening, but I get NO email and the browser locks up with regards to ALL nagiosxi. Constantly "Waiting for nagisoxi01....."
So, known bug? Am I using it wrong?
Cheers,
Lee Benson

Schedule Page/Report Issue
Re: Schedule Page/Report Issue
I reviewed the php.log and all is good when the first report is sent. A second report (different from the previous one) will complete in the httpd/error_log but the php.log dumps a log of this:
[05-Jun-2013 13:45:28] PHP Notice: fputs(): send of 78 bytes failed with errno=11 Resource temporarily unavailable in /usr/local/nagiosxi/html/includes/phpmailer/class.smtp.php on line 424

until finally it will give me a lot of this:

and when that spam stops I can browse through the nagiosxi site as usual.
This seem to be an indication of the freezing issue, but not the "session timed out" issue.
Hope this helps.

Re: Schedule Page/Report Issue
Are you trying to view the report by copying/pasting the URL ("You can directly access this report at:...") or by opening the pdf? Is upgrading Nagios XI to 2012R2.2 an option?

Re: Schedule Page/Report Issue
Hi,
Your question confuses me.
Let's start with the first issue: Scheduled reports done through the "Schedule Page" function are sent to an email address, attached as a pdf. The page (a custom Dashboard) contains performance graphs, service status and status history. The last two types of elements are inserted via the URL dashlet. The URLs in particular are very much like: "http://nagiosxi01/nagiosxi/includes/com ... MTMC%20SAN".
When viewed as a dashboard, there is no issue.
When sent as a pdf via email, using the scheduled report function, all URL elements are shown as "Your session has timed out" when reading the PDF.
I'd like to solve this issue first, the second issue can wait.
Oh, and I just upgraded to 2012R2.2. The issue is still there.
Regards,
Lee

Re: Schedule Page/Report Issue
Can you login to your NagiosXI interface, go under the "Admin" tab, then "Manage System Config". Do you have anythin in the "External URL" text field set?

Re: Schedule Page/Report Issue
Hi,
Yes, it does. I've tried it three ways. No setting, setting that matches the program url and setting that is different from program url (but still valid).
All same results.

I have found identified and am working on an acceptable solution. I should hopefully have something by Monday for this.

Re: Schedule Page/Report Issue
Its a bit more complicated than I thought, its an integral part of the report generation process, I don't have anything now but am I still working on this. I will keep you informed of the goings on.
