Filter alerts?

Right now I have many alerts that are coming up with broad definitions. Is there a way to filter out some of the alerts that are coming up, while being able to keep the broad definition of the service?

I'm not sure what you mean by this, the notifications nagios sends are based on the warning and critical thresholds you define, notifications also "by default" will include the service details to aid in explaining what went wrong, or what to fix. Are you trying to remove the status details from being send as well?

Thank's for getting back to me. I'm looking to filter out alerts with certain keywords.

Sorry for not being specific - I am picking up the information for notifications from logs. I would like to add if (this issue) then (ignore) or something to that effect.

You could any one of the myriad of log checking plugins:

But if you are looking for extended logic, you may want to look into creating some event handler scripts (not for the weak of heart/mind).
