Hello Guys,
This is the Requirment that e have got from one of our client, can you please help me with this to know how can i accomplish it.
" In “Critical” criteria , only Host /Service down logic should reflect and higher bandwidth utilization can be different field “problem” or “Warning ……Is this logic workable ??? Because otherwise segregation of problems is difficult"

I am not sure we quite understand what you are looking to do. You would like host down and service down alerts to show as a different alert than when a service is acting abnormally?

here what we want to achieve is for bandwidth They Need Alerts only as "warning" or "problematic" & if the Ports or Node is down then it should give Alerts as "Critical" can you please help me if this is possible to achive ?

This is all default behavior, are you trying to change what the lines say in your notification messages? You will "once again by default," receive a warning if the host/service is in a "problematic" state. If the port or host is down you will similarly receive a critical. The way you have explained it is already the behavior that Nagios follows.

i think am not able to Explain what i want to achieve let me try to explain it.
While Monitoring Switches We Create Threshold for Warning & Critical & we getś alerts accordingly, But here what they want to achive is For any BANDWIDTH alerts there should be only "Warning" or "Problem" & not as "Critical" and when Port is Down it should Send Alert As crtical which is Default, they just want different alerts for Bandwidth Anything other Than "Critical" thatś Just as "Warning" or "Problematic"

OK, so how about either not setting critical thresholds for bandwidth or setting them to 100%. As for port status, if they go down, you should always be alerted with a critical.
