It would seem that it is trying to do [IP]:[port]XI which having the additional letters would most certainly cause issues. Could you provide one of your service definitions? Also what documentation were you following?

Hi Team,

I tried installing Oracle Express edition in Nagios XI for monitoring purpose and oracle XE is succesfully installed, but if im trying to monitor, it is showinfg error

"CRITICAL - cannot connect to 10.0.0.14:1521XE. ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist (DBD ERROR: OCIServerAttach)"

and my lsnrctl status is showing successful

I am attaching my error screen shot and lsnrctl status output file.

Please help us resolving the issue.
