Are you talking about the NRPE monitoring wizard? If so you can add as many rows as you like via the "Add Row" button.

Hi,

Yes, I am talking about NRPE...
I have 3 Nagios Server with the same version and release:

2- installed with an "ovf template" for VMware {with the problem}
[simone@edinagios ~]$ uname -a
Linux xxxnagios 2.6.32-358.11.1.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Jun 12 03:34:52 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
[simone@edinagios ~]$ cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS release 6.4 (Final)
PHP_patch:
php-pdo-5.3.3-22.el6.x86_64
php-snmp-5.3.3-22.el6.x86_64
php-mcrypt-5.3.3-1.el6.rf.x86_64
php-mssql-5.3.3-1.el6.x86_64
php-pear-HTML-Template-IT-1.3.0-2.el5.noarch
php-gd-5.3.3-22.el6.x86_64
php-mysql-5.3.3-22.el6.x86_64
php-pear-1.9.4-4.el6.noarch
php-5.3.3-22.el6.x86_64
php-xml-5.3.3-22.el6.x86_64
php-common-5.3.3-22.el6.x86_64
php-cli-5.3.3-22.el6.x86_64
php-mbstring-5.3.3-22.el6.x86_64
php-pgsql-5.3.3-22.el6.x86_64

1- compiled by me {without the problem}
[root@nagios11s ~]# uname -a
Linux nagios11s 2.6.32-279.el6.i686 #1 SMP Fri Jun 22 10:59:55 UTC 2012 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
[root@nagios11s ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS release 6.3 (Final)
PHP_patch:
php-pear-HTML-Template-IT-1.3.0-2.el5.noarch
php-mssql-5.3.3-1.el6.i686
php-5.3.3-22.el6.i686
php-mysql-5.3.3-22.el6.i686
php-ldap-5.3.3-22.el6.i686
php-pdo-5.3.3-22.el6.i686
php-cli-5.3.3-22.el6.i686
php-gd-5.3.3-22.el6.i686
php-mcrypt-5.3.3-1.el6.rf.i686
php-pgsql-5.3.3-22.el6.i686
php-xml-5.3.3-22.el6.i686
php-mbstring-5.3.3-22.el6.i686
php-common-5.3.3-22.el6.i686
php-pear-1.9.4-4.el6.noarch
php-snmp-5.3.3-22.el6.i686

I think that there is a "problem" during the compilation for ovf template version... (different kind of php version an example!)

What do you think about it?
Do you know how to solve this problem without reinstall Nagios Server?

THANKS!!!

SA

What version of Nagios XI is running on that OVF? I'm not sure why this would happen off the top of my head, so is the Add Row button completely missing? Do you notice any other issues other than with this wizard? Also, do not double post please, we see all threads so there is no need to do any bumping here..

Hi Slancing,

first thing, I am apologize for the double post;
The version is 2012R2.2;
I have attached two pictures with the difference between the OVF installation and the compiled installation where you can see the button missing!

Thanks 1000!

Lets check a few things:
1. Check your wizard version: Go to Admin --> Manage Config Wizards --> Check the NRPE wizard version (should be v1.3)
2. Check the apache error logs. Run the following tail and then try to access the NRPE wizard, browsing to the page with the missing link. Post the ouput from the tail afterwards here in code wraps:

Code: Select all

tail -f /var/log/httpd/error_log
3. Pull up the javascript error console (Ctrl-Shift-J), post any errors (not warnings, as there may be a few of those).
