We have a system checking a web sever via IP Address from an external vendor, problem is the vendor changes servers from time to time and in doing so changes the IP Address. The field currently only allows IP Addresses to be entered. Is there a why to change that to allow FQDN?

Depending on what field you're talking about, it might "just work", even if it's labeled as being for an IP address. Could you clarify where this is?
