Hi, I'm new Nagios's user.

I have installed Nagios 3.4.1 on Redhat server and installed few clients on Linux and windows. But I have a problem to find a right version compatible with Solaris 8: (SunOS 5.8 Generic_108528-29 sun4u sparc), I tried few nrpe and plugins found on the web without success.

Could you tell me if one client version of nagios is still compatible to monitor my Solaris 8 version? and the right process to install Nrpe and plugins ;)

thanks in advance

Laurent,

At this point in time, there are no pre-built binaries for solaris 8. You will need to build nrpe nad the nagios-plugins from source on your solaris box.

Hi,

thanks for your answer. Could you tell me if it's the same for paying version Nagios XI?

It is the same. Solaris 8 was last updated in 2004. It is nearing the end of its "sustaining support cylce" and for all intents and purposes, is end of life. We do not have any current plans to create a solaris 8 build environment for agent binaries, let alone support them.
