Its strange to see why the linux_nrpe_agent.tar.gz doesn't include latest version of nagiosxi 1.4.16 in the sub component folder.
My question was, is it safe if i delete the nagios-plugin-1.4.13 from the sub component folder and replace it with 1.4.16 and update ./install script inside linux_nrpe_agent ? then run ./fullinstall

Or is it safe if i do make install with 1.4.16 after installed the 1.4.13 version from linux_nrpe_agent from nagioxi shows in monitoring wizard->linux server.

Either will work. There has been a flurry of changes to the nagios plugins package, so it may be a while before thing are tested and we are comfortable moving to a newer version in the agent.
