Thank you both for your help. I'm going to write a Java "server"=
to take connections (avoiding the multiple JVM penalty, with thanks=
to the friendly Swede (takk I believe it is)). This server will=
then write what is needed to the external command file (thanks=
to Jorge for comfirming this plan)
