Hi,

Currently we are evaluating Nagios XI ,i get stuck up in following areas.

-Notifications (E-mail, SMS)
-How to add Firewalls?
-How to add Routers?
-how to monitor switches?
-How to monitor URL?
-is it possible to monitor windows machines through SNMP Without using Nsclient++?
-is it possible to monitor Linux machines through SNMP?
-How to monitor IBM-AIX machines through Nagios XI?

Please help me to sort out above issues.

What about them is giving you trouble?

This depends on what you're trying to monitor about them. You can get started with the same method as for switches.

There is a "Switch" wizard for this.

Yes, and there are wizards for this - you just need to know the OIDs you're looking for and make sure you have the relevant MIBs.

This one is a bit trickier. Currently you would need to figure out how to compile NRPE or NSCA on it, although we're working on a project to do it just with standard shell scripts instead to alleviate this problem.

Thanks for support

Notification, i configured e-mail through smtp but i getting error "smtp connection timed out"
In sms notification there is no Indian company u provided list.

Our next release for XI will have an option to define a custom SMS carrier. It should be coming out in the next week or so.
