Does anyone know if it is possible to monitor servers and devices that are behind a firewall? If I want to monitor a server from my office that is behind a firewall in a datacenter, will this be possible or will NagioXI only monitor internal servers and devices?

The best way is to use a permanent VPN. We may add dialup VPN support to a later version of NagiosXI, depending on demand.

You can use your FW's port forwarding features as well.
