Roy, you might want to consider using a non-Nagios solution for munging =
logfiles, especially if you're using a centralized loghost. This is an =
approach which is on my To Do list.

I've heard of a few recommendations (I think it was on the nagios-users =
list) and have saved those messages. Actually, they're probably buried =
among the many other messages from these lists that I save ;) but if =
you'd like me to dig them out, I'll give it a whirl and summarize here.
