AW: [Nagios-devel] nagios server services -- feature request?

Post by Guest »

Good morning,

yeah, i do disagree but this is only a cosmetic thang. What you are
doing is probably satisfactory for most and makes sense but, hey, if =
isn't
too difficult for the coders it would make the maps more sane.

later,
dean

Dear Dean,

I am currently mornitoring the nagios server's services.
On my map, this server is the only one directly connected to the nagios
process itself. All other servers are children of the monitoring host.
This is not confusing to me. I do not need this new feature you =
recommend.

Got a different view on this?
Please RE.

Sincerely

Daniel

Betreff: [Nagios-devel] nagios server services -- feature request?

Good morning,

i would like to monitor things like disk space and CPULoad on my
Nagios box and cannot see any way other than to add a new host and
associated services.

i don't currently use the maps but i can see where this might be a
bit confusing if someone does.

Is there a way of creating services that are on the Nagios host
without creating a new host in hosts.cfg?

If not, perhaps this would be a nice feature.
