You know this is pretty cool. I have a 75% complete perl module that will
read in the nagios config files (cfg_file and cfg_dir too). I am creating a
gtk perl frontend for nagios. I already have a tree with everything in it,
now I'm just working things like configuration dialogs, debugging drag and
drop, a trends.cgi replacement, and a statusmap.cgi replacement.

I'm about 50% done with a simple perl script to parse the status.log file
into a 'status.xml' file (which I'm using as a first step to a new front end
for nagios). It's rough, but it works. Would anyone be interested in using
it? If so, I can clean it up and daemonize it, allow it to accept command
parms, etc.
