Hi,

in Cfengine you can implement such scenarios with a lot of different classes of systems, e.g. for rolling out different nrpe.cfg files.

Have look at it at www.cfengine.org. It is a nice tool for deployment and automization of system administration. We are using it here for years now with more than two hundred servers.
