we did. Just used a simple ISDN card, voice synthetic system and=
wrote 2 scripts which controll the queueing/escalation of the calls.=
With alerting via voice calls you can be sure, that nagios will=
reliable reach someone whereas SMSs often are delivered with a=
huge delay or don't reach the employee who's in charge.
