Hi Marc,
- new feature, functions
- or bugs which affect the application itself
IS not a reason to upgrade to new version of Nagios or any application
as a consultant you have to bring enough arguments for an upgrade.
BUT a security bug, which is not only affecting Nagios
but the whole system it is running on,
needs special attention and should be fixed asap

ON all versions of Nagios provides for download (as patch)
OR
atleast a workaround
