Hi!
I use both persistent and non-persistent acknowledgements.
In my scenario Nagios is stopped every weekday for approximately 5 minutes
to do some house keeping on the server. However after restarting Nagios the
non-persitent comments disappear just the acknowledge icon and "(Has been
acknowledged)" text remain. It is according to the documentation.
But I think it would be helpful if non-persistent notification comments
remain until the state of the acknowledged host/service become Up/Ok.
In this case my colleges can see the reasons of my acknowledgements after
Nagios restart, and I have not do persistent acknowledgements (and delete
them later if I remember them).
I use Nagios 1.3.
