Nope. I actually rewrote the init script because I had problem across
different platforms with the one included.

I do a full stop/start (which in my init script is what a restart does).
The problem occurs when I DON'T have obsess_over_services turned on.
The process count goes through the roof, the box begins swapping a lot,
and service checks get way behind. When I turn on obsess_over_services
(my command just does extra logging), the problem goes away. The
process count stays down, the box doesn't hit swap and everything sticks
to the schedule perfectly.

I am running Nagios 1.0b6 on a RedHat 7.2 box.
