I'm getting this issue (see screenshot) with all of our Windows 2000 servers. Some google troubleshooting lead me to these links:

from people having the exact same issue. One of our Windows admins tried the suggestions listed in those links to no avail. Is there anything else we can do that might work?

NSClient++ version: 4.0.183
Nagios XI 2012R2.4

So re-building the counters by running:

Code: Select all

lodctr /R
In the windows CLI did not work? Did you restart nsclient after this? Do you have a nsclient.log file in your installation directory? If so please send it to me via a PM if not please open your nsclient.ini/NSC.ini file and enable logging/debugging, restart the service, and run a few immediate checks from the XI interface to the services showing those unknown issues, then send the log file to me. Thanks!

It looks like the best and easiest solution for you may be to downgrade to version 3.9 of NSClient due to the current version being unstable on systems "including older versions of Windows."

Please use the version linked in our documentation:
