Switch / Router wizard bloats MRTG.cfg

Hi,
Last week we have noticed a quite annoying problem.
If we add a new switch or router to monitor the bandwidth and define only one port to monitor the cfg file still adds all the ports.
This results in an extremely bloated config file.
Is this a know issue, or do you guys have any idea how this can be prevented?
Thanks in advance

Yes we do know about the issue. This is largely due to the use of cfgmaker for mrtg and how it does just dump everything in there. I believe there is a present feature request to have this altered, and should at least make it in with our other mrtg changes for 2014.
You can certainly strip out the unneeded ports from mrtg.cfg if you wish, however you will need to manually remove them all if you plan to add more in the future.

Hi, I've just checked the tracker site and I can't seem to find the feature request.
Do I create a new one, or am I looking at the wrong place.

If it is not there, absolutely feel free to make a new one. If you would post a link back here, and here to the tracker submission. I should verify, you were looking at tracker.nagios.com, not .org? .org is for core only.

Fantastic, thanks! I'll lock this up for now, as there isn't too much we can do at the moment. I will note, that I will add this to our internal feature tracker too!
