Question on Core Config Manager

I just finished setting up a new alert using the Core Config Manager. When I was done I did an "Apply Configuration" and it was successful. I thought that when i did the apply it was automatically downloaded to the system - but when I look at the system it's not there. Do I need to download the tar-ball and apply it to the system?

It should. If apply configuration succeeds, the config file should be written out. Lets make sure that process works correctly:
go to --> Configure --> CCM --> Tools --> Write config files. Click "Write" and the "Verify". If there is an error, post the results here.

When I go to Configure --> CCM --> Tools -->
There is nothing there but My Tools and Common Tools and nothing under them.

Perhaps I should build another one since there's noting there.

Wrong tools menu. Go to the configure menu and then choose "Core Config Manager" on the left. Then, on the lower left nav menu, expand tools. There you will find "Write Config Files".
Click "Write" and the "Verify". If there is an error, post the results here.
