Liinux version not working

Hi,
I'm using Red Hat Enterprise Linux Client release 5.5 (Tikanga)
Linux 2.6.18-194.el5 #1 SMP Tue Mar 16 21:52:39 EDT 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
and it states that is is not compatible. "redhatenterpriseclient5.5 is not currently supported. Please use CentOS or RHEL versions 5 or 6 instead."
I thought the version I'm using is RHEL 5.5 which is compatible. Please advice?
~jv

Can you post the output of "uname -a"?

uname -a: Linux 2.6.18-194.el5 #1 SMP Tue Mar 16 21:52:39 EDT 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I see this matches what you had in your first post. This is exactly what "uname -a" gives when you type it in the command line? I ask not only because the timestamps are the same to the second, but also because your machine seems to think it is March 16, 2010.
On a related note, it looks like you are using the RedHat client (Desktop) version. As per:
http://kb.mit.edu/confluence/pages/view ... Id=4259926
RHEL 5 Client (often appearing in Red Hat product descriptions and documentation as "Red Hat Enterprise Desktop") is the baseline interactive client OS product. Most of the "fancy stuff" has been left out of this product with the expectation that customers will adopt one of the more advanced options if necessary.
You will need to use the RHEL Server to install Nagios XI.
