All of a sudden this morning, I keep getting this:

Service: Nagios XI Jobs
Host: SVCLDNAGIOS01.AEO.AE.COM
Host Description: xiwizard_generic_host
Address: x.x.x.x
State: CRITICAL
Info:
Database Maintenance (dbmaint) stale (742 seconds old)
Date/Time: 2013-12-18 09:32:29

Then I get a recovery and little later that again.....umm, any hints?

It is probably the dbmaint cron (/etc/cron.d/nagiosxi):

*/5 * * * * nagios /usr/bin/php -q /usr/local/nagiosxi/cron/dbmaint.php > /usr/local/nagiosxi/var/dbmaint.log 2>&1

It runs every 5 minutes. 742 seconds makes it 12 minutes stale. Did load spike on this server? Was a backup running?

Odd..this is basically a new server not in prod yet, zero users.....interesting. Time to investigate.
