service alerts every 5 minutes

Can someone help me find the cause of service alerts that repeat every 5 minutes? The services can be anything, load, disk, file handles, they all do it. I have changed settings to only send once an hour, I have set flap detection even trying a low flap threshold at 1 and high at 100 and everything in between.

This is a new installation that is to replace a very old Nagios installation but until I get this sorted out I can't turn off the old one.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Brandon

Can you copy an example of one of your service configurations that is doing this? CCM > Services > "click the diskette icon next to one of the services that keeps alerting you"

just clicking on the disk to show the config might have pointed out the issue. It looks like the config was copied over from the old installation incorrectly. I have created a new service and will let you know if it works and specifics about my original problem.

Looks like somehow many different services were combined into one, so every time a service fired it ran dozens of different checks causing alerts for all of them. My new service replacing the old one has resolved the issue. Thanks for the help.

Excellent! Importing configurations incorrectly can indeed create oddities.
