Correct way to upgrade a switch

Good morning,

I was wondering if there is an official guide for Nagios XI to see how to upgrade a switch in Nagios XI correctly. For example we have upgraded a switch in an IDF from a Cisco Catalyst 3750 to a 6500. The IP remained the same, but obviously the port for the uplink changed, so bandwidth monitoring is not functioning correctly ("/var/lib/mrtg/macat3750.gccaz.edu_193.rrd does not exist." errors are most common with this).

I have attached my profile.zip to this post

.

Thanks for your help!

You will most likely have to remove the broken checks and re-add them by running the wizard against the router. You may be able to alter the checks instead of recreating them, but you will have to know the oid or mib name of the new ports. If you run into issue with mrtg, see the following doc:

You should remove the old entries from the "/etc/mrtg/mrtg.conf" and the "the /usr/local/nagiosxi/tmp" folder, and re-run the wizard. To learn how to do this, please, review this document:
