Outage Window Definition

So I have services shared between hosts, and some of these hosts have different notification windows. Is there any way to have the service alert only send out if the host's alert time period is active, or do I need to create duplicate service checks for each server with a different time period? I guess I'm trying to compare the functionality of host time periods to scheduled downtime. Scheduled downtime hushes everything on a host, but it appears host time periods only hush host alerts. So alternatively, is there a way to schedule recurring downtimes?

There is a pretty handy page for this in Nagios XI. From your Home tab, under the "Incident Management" topic there is a "Recurring Downtime" link. Click on that and it brings you to a page where Recurring Downtime is schedules, from here you can schedule hosts, hostgroups or just services.
