Configuring SNMP between Nagios and iSeries

Can anyone provide any details on configuring Nagios and iSeries.I am not able to establish connectivity between them.Is there any clp I need to run in the production environment?

I am not familiar with an iseries device, however snmp is snmp. Are you looking to monitor traps or gets? How have you been attempting to monitor it? Have you verified snmp is open on the remote device? "nmap -sU -p 161 [hostname\IP]"
