I'm getting the following error when doing a full install on a fresh linux install.

ERROR: Unable to login to NagiosQL on 'localhost' - exiting. If you have a proxy configured, this may be the cause of the problem.

when I check the install.log file I see the following:

ERROR: Unable to login to NagiosQL on 'localhost' - exiting. If you have a proxy configured, this may be the cause of the problem.

I'm able ot login to nagiosql manually from the command line so I don't understand what the issue is.

anyone???

Are you sure you were using the correct username & password? It is a separate password from logging in to Nagios XI and browsers will sometimes try to autofill the wrong one if you saved your password previously.

I haven't gotten as far yet as logging in through the brower. The full install script fails at task E-importnagiosql

Did you run the install scripts from the /tmp/nagiosxi directory, or from the /root directory? You need to run them from /tmp or there will be permissions issues part way through the install scripts.

What version of nagiosxi are you attempting the install on? We did have a bug in the E-nagiosql script that we found where apache was failing to restart correctly so the script was failing. It is fixed as of version 1.5.
