Server Migration - XI Version reverts to original

Hi,
Trying to migrate from one server (physical) to virtual (AWS). On the AWS server, I install the latest and greatest XI using the source installer. I am following these steps:

http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... ctions.pdf

I take my existing backup and follow these steps - including the section under "Things to Consider" for different OS version/architecture.

http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... ing_XI.pdf

However, after the restore completes successfully, the version of NagiosXI reverts to the the version of the backup and not the latest version that I installed manually. I check the console under "Admin" -> "Check for updates" and it shows that a newer version of XI is available.

Is there any way to stop the newer version from reverting to the old version?

Thanks.

OS on physical server: CentOS 6.4 (Final) 64bit
OS on AWS: CentOS 6.5 (Final) - from official CentOS AWS images. 64bit.
Physical server XI version: 2012R2.2
AWS XI version: xi-2012r2.9.tar.gz

If you migrated all of the configs to the new server successfully, you can just run our upgrade script from the CLI:

Code: Select all

cd /tmp/nagiosxi
./upgrade
