Nagios Support Forum

I have a hostgroup that for whatever reason does not show the listed hosts. The list populates for other hostsgroups. I've tried on different browsers, IE (different versions) and FireFox but still have the same issue. This is happening on Nagios XI 2012R2.7. I made a copy of this group this morning. When I went back to remove the 3 hosts that I need to add to the newly formed group...the list didn't populate. I've tried going back to a previous configuration snapshot but that didn't work either...

How were the members added to this hostgroup? There are two ways:

1. CCM->Hosts->Manage Hostgroups->...->Add Selected
2. CCM->Host Groups->...->Manage Hosts->...->Add Selected

historically added via 2.
CCM->Host Groups->...->Manage Hosts->...->Add Selected

I can remove the hostgroup from the host via method 1.

Each method will show you only the members added via the same method (1 or 2). Clicking on the "Info" button should show you all of the dependencies (Relation to Hosts...).

Thats the problem. The previous admins didn't do anything consistantly so...that added the confusion.
