I can get to the welcome page, but after I click "Access Nagios XI" It says "This webpage has a redirect loop" how do I fix this?

We'll have to get a little more detail. Please run the following on the Nagios server and post the output:

Code: Select all

tail -50 /var/log/httpd/error_log

Here it is:

Code: Select all

Looking at your logs it seems you have run out of disk space. If these two posts are any indication:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7280 ... -device-28
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5412 ... evice-mean

you either have a hosting provider you need to talk to, or you need to clear up room on your own server.

I have a 1.1G left.

Code: Select all

[root@csvmmon01 ~]# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/VolGroup-lv_root 7.5G 6.0G 1.1G 85% /
tmpfs 936M 0 936M 0% /dev/shm
/dev/xvda1 485M 114M 347M 25% /boot
[root@csvmmon01 ~]#

When you run out of space, services can no longer create .lock files, subsequently inhibiting the restart or start of the service. Lets restart the whole gambit:

Code: Select all

service mysqld restart
service postgres restart
service ndo2db restart
service httpd restart
service crond restart
service nagios restart

The situation cleared up after restarting nagios a couple times. I don't really know what caused it or what exactly fixed it. Next time it happens I will hold off restarting the server to troubleshoot it.

I would definitely increase your disk space as well, 7.5GB is very low for a Nagios XI server, if it is a VM, I would suggest following:

The problem happened again, so I made sure to check the size of the disk, it was full. I increased the size of the disk by 10 GB. It fixed the problem. This thread can be closed.
