NagiosXI and Nagios Plugings

I noticed that Nagios Plugins 2.0 was released yesterday (http://nagios-plugins.org/). I'm curious to know how these correlate with Nagios XI.

A couple of questions I have:
Does XI ship the latest Nagios Plugins in each release?
Do the plugins get copied over the existing plugins on upgrades?
Are there plugins that are exclusive to XI?
Are there plugins that are in Nagios Plugins that aren't in XI?

Thanks,

Usually. Major XI releases almost always include the newest plugins version.

Yes. Installing the plugins package will overwrite the old plugin files in libexec.

Yes. Those plugins are also distributed with XI.

No. XI includes the nagios-plugins package and others.

Nagios XI 2014 is right around the corner, and that major update will include a newer version of the nagios-plugins.

Before we close this up, have you had the chance to try out any of the plugins or look at the change logs?

EDIT: 1000 posts!

I've looked at the change logs but haven't had a chance to try them yet. One customer will be waiting till the 2014 release.

I'll close this up, but feel free to let us know how things work out when you do get to try them. We can test all we want in-house but the real results come from the field.
