Hi!

I would like to use Nagios to monitor nagios. Specifically, I'd like to be able to see how many service checks are ready to be run. I think I may have added so many service checks that the Nagios server is unable to keep up.

I've tried adjusting some of the config parameters I thought may help, but I don't know how to monitor the health of Nagios other than to watch the loadavg on the Nagios server.

Can someone tell me where I would find a list or a counter of service checks ready to run?

Can you give us some background to work off of? How many checks are being ran, are they active/passive/how many of each, and how frequently are checks told to be ran (interval). Also, what type of hardware are you running on? What are the symptoms you are seeing?

I found a solution. Check_nagiostats works perfectly with pnp4nagios to generate graphs of all the nagios performance metrics.
