email notification format

I am using NagiosXI and SMTP for sending notifications but the format of the message being recieved seems to have all the LR/CR stripped so it is one continous line of information. Has anyone else seen and fixed this problem?
Example:
***** Nagios XI Alert ***** Notification Type: PROBLEM Service: Check Win SNMP Disk E: Host: File Server Address: test.example.com State: CRITICAL Info: CRITICAL : Percent Used : 91.6%, Total : 341.6 GiB, Used : 313 GiB, Free : 28.5 GiB Date/Time: Nagios URL: http://1.1.1.1/nagiosxi/
