please, oh please, let there be a way to assign a service group to a host or host group...

1 simple assignment, linux services -> linux hostgorup
database services- > database hostgroup

a very good feature, i dont know why its still left out

Yes, that would definitely be helpful. And is there a way to assign a contact group to a host group?

I agree this would be highly useful, I'm going to add it as a feature request.
