Hi,

The minimum polling interval that can be set on nagios XI is 1 min. But can I change it to even lower polling intervals ? I want to monitor a process every 5-10 secs because if it goes down it comes back in 30 secs. So if I poll it every 1 min I will not know when it went down and came up.

The only logical way to do this is as a passive check. However this really isn't a great use of resources in my honest opinion. Is there some aspect of the program that having it restart properly, as many services do especially in windows land, is that horrible for it? I think a much more valid request is to just validate that it is running, every 5 minutes, as long as its accessible thats what should really matter. But maybe you can provide more information as to why you feel the need to check it so frequently?
