Auto refresh of NSTI version 2.0 on trap reception

I have installed the Nagios SNMP Trap Interface (NSTI) version 2.0 for collecting traps from different network components. It seems to work alright but the graphical user interface is not updated automatically on reception of a new trap. I have to select “Archive” then “Go” in the “Do Action” drop down box before the data base is read and shown on the GUI.

Is this the expected behavior or is there some configuration I have not done correctly or is there some fix to overcome this problem?

Would the problem be solved if I used Nagios XI instead for my monitoring system?

Best regards,

For 2.0, yes. There is a new version of nsti on the way within a couple of weeks that has been completely reworked . . ..

Well, in a way, yes. You would essentially use the snmp wizards to configure your checks, or use traps and configure them through unconfigured objects once you are receiving them.
