Disable scheduled downtime announcements

Dear,

I've got 2 questions regarding scheduled downtime.

1. Is it possible to disable the scheduled downtime announcements. I don't want to receive a message at the start and the end of a maintenance window.

2. How can I make a scheduled downtime for all object or multple hostgroups at once?

Kind regards,
Burn

Yes.

If you click your username in the top right corner of the web UI, then click "Notification Preferences" you can uncheck
Host Downtime
Service Downtime

Each user can modify his/her notification preferences. You can click on the username in the upper right corner, then go to "Notification Preferences", clear the "Host/Service Downtime" checkboxes, and click on "Update Settings".
Note: With Nagios XI Enterprise Edition, you can set notification preferences "globally" for all users, even lock settings for selected (non-adin) users.

You can schedule a recurring downtime for a hostgroup or servicegroup by going to:

Code: Select all

Home->Incident Management->Recurring Downtime
You can create a hostgroup under CCM, that contains all hosts, and schedule a recurring downtime for this particular hostgroup. Same with the servicegroups...

If you want to remote the downtime (in bulk), you can just go to:

Code: Select all

Home->Mass Acknowledge->Mass Remote Downtime->Check All->Remote Downtimes
