Nagios requires email address for RO User

Hi

I want to add a user for RO that will never receive email but Nagios won't let me add it without an email address. I have unchecked 'Force Password Change', 'Email User Account Info' and 'Create as Monitoring Contact'

Is this intentional? Why?

Correct, it looks like you cannot add a user without an email address.. now this does not need to be a valid address, you could essentially put what ever address you wanted there, and then disable notifications on the user for the time being.
