Event Log Not Showing

The event log isn't showing up.

We're going to need a lot more info than that.

What version of XI are you running?
What OS and version is it running on?
Is it not showing up at all? Or is it just blank?
Are you looking at the right time period?
Do you see anything in /var/log/httpd/error_log?

tail -20 /var/log/httpd/error_log

Are you referring to the core\XI event log, an snmp event log, or something else? I'm not sure what specifically you are referring to, but it seems to have something to do with snmp due to the ipv6 mib error. Could you post the commands that you are running to see that error? A much more detailed idea of what you feel is not logging and where you are expecting it to log would be much appreciated.

Are you rotating the nagios logs in a non-standard way?
Pull up the event log, set some overly broad search criteria, submit it, and then get a long tail of:

tail -50 /var/log/httpd/error_log
tail 25 /var/log/messages
Looking at your previous log, you could be timing out if the nagios_logentries table and the nagios.log files are too large. Increase the php.ini limits:

I noticed that the error log said

so I found this http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... tabase.pdf I did what the pdf said to do and it worked. My problem is fixed. This can be closed.
